PROFESSIONALISM THROUGH TRAINING
MS13 - UNDERSTANDING the MARAS SALVATRUCHA-13 - Develop and understanding of the orgins, alliances, rivalries, methods of criminal operations of the MS-13 street gang. This understanding will then facilitate the identification and investigation of these gang members.
INTERPETATION OF GANG GRAFFITTI AND STREETOLOGY - The presentation emphasizes identification of security groups, such as gang and others, through their colors, symbols, signs, and activities, Develop an understanding and basic interpretation of gang Graffiti. What does it mean? How much is really gang related. "STREETOLOGY" How familiar are you with today's street language? This workshop will also review how to track gang intelligene.
CRIMINAL PATROL INTERDICTION - Introduction to Criminal / Drug Interdiction, roadside interview techniques that uncover criminal activity; indication of deception; legal issues relating to interdiction patrol stops; contraband smuggling; currency seizures; commercial vehicle interdiction.
ADVANCED VEHICLE CONTRABAND CONCEALMENT - Development of systematic search techniques; search objectives; x-ray and density detection equipment developments; K-9 failures; changes in concealment since 9/11; how officers are getting beat on concealment everyday; pitfalls concerning concealment.
VIRTUAL REALITY AND THE ROLE/USE IN TRAINING TERRORIST AND NARCOTICS TRAFFICKERS - Topics: Develop an understanding of how terrorist and drug traffickers are utilizing the virtual reality world to train and thwart law enforcement. Coversely, how law enforcement can use virtual reality to train officers. How virtual reality can be used to walk thru vehicles or houses to find hidden concealment areas.
